El ministro de Salud Pública, Federico Mangione, anunció en Metán, la creación de una innovadora red de Tele-ACV (accidente cerebrovascular), con el objetivo de mejorar significativamente la atención de estos eventos en toda la provincia.
Esta iniciativa permitirá a hospitales que no tienen servicio de neurología en guardia acceder a atención especializada a distancia para el diagnóstico y tratamiento temprano del ACV isquémico, la tercera causa de muerte en la Argentina y principal causa de discapacidad a nivel mundial.
La red de Tele-ACV, que se implementará inicialmente en los hospitales cabecera de Metán, Orán, Tartagal y Cafayate, se basará en cuatro pilares fundamentales:
- Creación de una guardia de Tele-ACV en el hospital San Bernardo: Este centro actuará como eje central de la red, brindando atención especializada las 24 horas a través de telemedicina.
- Creación de Unidades Periféricas de Tele-ACV en hospitales del interior: Estos centros estarán equipados con la tecnología necesaria para conectarse con la guardia central y recibir asistencia remota.
- Capacitación continua del personal: Se llevará a cabo un programa de formación para médicos, enfermeros y otros profesionales de la salud involucrados en la atención del ACV.
- Registro prospectivo de datos: Se recopilarán datos de manera sistemática para evaluar la efectividad de la red y realizar mejoras continuas.
Durante el acto de presentación, el ministro de Salud Pública, Federico Mangione, resaltó la puesta en marcha del proyecto. «La red de Tele-ACV es un paso fundamental para garantizar que todos los salteños, independientemente de su ubicación geográfica, tengan acceso a una atención oportuna y de calidad para el ACV. Esta iniciativa tiene el potencial de salvar vidas y reducir la discapacidad en nuestra provincia», manifestó.
Se debe tener en cuenta que el ACV es una patología de gran impacto, debido a que es la tercera causa de muerte en la Argentina y la primera causa de discapacidad en adultos, pudiendo afectar a 1 de cada 4 personas mayores de 25 años.
Si se trata dentro de las primeras 4 horas de iniciados los síntomas, se puede mejorar el pronóstico y disminuir el riesgo de secuelas e incluso la muerte. De allí la importancia de contar con una red de atención y un protocolo de ACV adecuado, que permitan que más pacientes puedan recibir atención dentro de ese periodo de ventana.
De esta manera, la red de Tele-ACV de Salta se posiciona como un modelo para la región, demostrando el compromiso del Ministerio de Salud Pública con la innovación y la mejora continua en la atención médica.
En el acto de lanzamiento estuvieron presentes, el intendente de Metán, José María Issa; el secretario de Servicios de Salud, Martín Monerris; la subsecretaria de Tecnología e Innovación, María Solá; el gerente general del hospital Del Carmen, de Metán, Pedro Samson; directores de zonas sanitarias y gerentes generales de hospitales, entre otros.
Operatividad
La médica Gabriela Orzuza, reconocida especialista en neurología y directora médica del hospital San Bernardo, fue designada como coordinadora de la red de Tele-ACV. La profesional supervisará la capacitación del personal y garantizará el cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad en la atención.
La implementación de la red tiene estos beneficios:
- Mejorará la atención de pacientes con ACV en toda la provincia.
- Se reducirá la disparidad en el acceso a la atención especializada.
- Habrá disminución de la morbimortalidad y discapacidad asociada al ACV.
- Garantizará la equidad en el tratamiento de la enfermedad cerebrovascular.
- Da cumplimiento a la ley provincial de ACV N° 8420.
Convenio con Boehringer Ingelheim S.A
El Ministerio de Salud Pública y la compañía Boehringer Ingelheim S.A firmaron un convenio de cooperación, con el objetivo de fortalecer el sistema provincial de salud en el tratamiento de accidentes cerebrovasculares (ACV).
El acuerdo incluye la capacitación de unidades de salud, profesionales de la salud y la concientización de la comunidad sobre el diagnóstico oportuno del ACV. La Compañía se compromete a capacitar y certificar centros de salud y hospitales, así como a proporcionar recursos educativos a través de su iniciativa Angels.
“Las alianzas público-privadas tienen un rol transformador, que permite contribuir al fortalecimiento de los sistemas de salud. En el caso del ACV, la capacitación del personal de salud y la creación de unidades de diagnóstico precoz articuladas a través de redes, permitirán mejorar el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de esta enfermedad, que es de gran impacto para los pacientes, para su familias y cuidadores, pero también para los sistemas, al ser la primera causa de discapacidad”, expresó Eduardo Sorlino, gerente general de Boehringer Ingelheim en Argentina.
Por su parte, el director médico de la Compañía, Juan Pablo Solé, explicó que “la iniciativa Angels busca generar sinergias para mejorar el abordaje del ACV, capacitando a los equipos de salud en todas las instancias que deben articularse desde que una persona presenta los primeros síntomas hasta que recibe el tratamiento adecuado”.
Sobre la capacitación
Boehringer Ingelheim, a través de su iniciativa Angels, capacitará y certificará a centros de salud y hospitales públicos para atender y tratar el ACV. Tambien realizará un seguimiento de estos centros para asegurar la calidad, y capacitará al personal de salud con programas como Angels Stroke Academy AHA, Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS), Titulación de enfermería especializada en ACV, y módulos enfocados en diferentes aspectos del ACV, desde la atención al paciente hasta la fase posaguda.
Desde el lanzamiento de la Iniciativa Angels en Argentina en el año 2018, se han registrado más de 400 centros de salud de todo el país y se han realizado más de 350 entrenamientos de capacitación, tanto en instituciones públicas como privadas de todo el país, involucrando a más de 29.000 profesionales de la salud.
