La Municipalidad de Rosario de la Frontera apostó fuertemente a este exitoso festival que se impone en la agenda turística de Salta como el evento más convocante en el «entierro del carnaval» de toda la provincia.
Fueron dos días de fiesta con un clima privilegiado, en donde el público colmó el complejo deportivo.
La Ciudad Termal festejó dos días del carnaval con nieve, harina y pintura. Hubo más de 25 artistas en escena. Con un imponente escenario, en el que desfilaron grandes artistas locales y nacionales, la Chaya Rosarina 2020, cerró el carnaval con más de 16.000 personas que se hicieron presente durante el feriado carnestolendo.
En un marco de alegría, familias enteras bailaron, tiraron nieve, pintura y hasta tomaron mates en la reposera, compartiendo momentos que quedarán en la memoria de aquellos que disfrutan la vida familiar y con amigos. Adolescentes, grandes, niños, abuelos, tíos, la Chaya fue sin dudas no tan solo la fiesta del carnaval, sino la fiesta que convocó a los amigos, a las familias a pasar unas horas de distracción.
El intendente Gustavo Solís, destacó a Salta Sur «apostamos a profesionalizar este evento para que el Rosarino y todos los que nos visitan puedan disfrutar con la familia y amigos. Tenemos cubierto el 100% de la capacidad hotelera esto genera una tracción muy importante en la economía y a eso apostamos.»
Por su parte, Carolina Singh, directora de Turismo, expresó a Salta Sur que «este evento fue muy promocionado en el calendario turístico, y se hicieron presentes gente de Salta, Tucumán, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, San Juan, Córdoba y todo el interior de la provincia».
«La gente vino a nuestra chaya y pudo combinar con el parque acuático», además, la directora adelantó que «ahora estamos preparando diversas actividades para Semana Santa, y de esta manera poder ofrecer una buena alternativa turística».

La denuncia fue realizada por una vecina de esa ciudad, quien posee un comercio en su vivienda y que en ocasión de encontrarse de viaje, tomó conocimiento de que personas desconocidas ingresaron de manera violenta a su propiedad tras escalar una tapia, y se llevaron una importante suma de dinero, joyas, prendas de vestir, calzado, electrodomésticos, una cámara de seguridad y otros bienes.
Al revisar las filmaciones de las cámaras de la vivienda, identificó a uno de los sospechosos como familiar de un vecino, por lo que se solicitó su detención.
Al regresar a la ciudad de Rosario de la Frontera, otro hombre que frecuenta la casa de los vecinos, le profirió amenazas a un sobrino que la estaba acompañando.
Tras la audiencia de imputación, desde la Fiscalía se solicitó al Juzgado de Garantías interviniente que se mantenga la detención.
Organizado por la Municipalidad junto a la Oficina de la Juventud este fin de semana se llevó a cabo el Banderazo 2024 donde alumnos de los 5tos. y 6tos años de las Escuelas Secundarias de nuestra ciudad hicieron la presentación de camperas de egresados del presente ciclo lectivo.
La intervención tuvo lugar en Ruta Provincial N° 2 durante un control de la Policia Rural y Ambiental. Tras fiscalizar una camioneta, constataron que el conductor portaba un arma de la que no poseía la documentación.
El hecho se produjo alrededor de las 22:00, cuando los efectivos de la División Policía Rural y Ambiental y Protección de Bienes Culturales realizaban control vehicular sobre Ruta Provincial N° 2 y detuvieron la marcha de una camioneta conducida por un hombre de 63 años.
Al inspeccionar el vehículo, los efectivos encontraron un arma de fuego tipo carabina calibre 22 y 10 cartuchos. La persona no contaba con la documentación necesaria para su tenencia y portación.
Por el hecho, tomó intervención la Fiscalía Penal de Rosario de la Frontera, quien dispuso la identificación del conductor por supuesta tenencia y/o portación ilegítima de arma de fuego.
